Made in Yorkshire
Many of the postcards sent by soldiers from the Front were made by Bamforth & Co. based in Holmfirth. By the end of WWI the company was printing 20 million cards every year. Bamforth’s Postcards were the market leader throughout the 20th century, with their artists commenting on politics, fashion and changes in social activity, with increasing use of ‘toilet and bedroom humour’. http://bamforthpostcards.co.uk/
